IRA Custodians

If you own any portion of your investment through your IRA, under IRS regulations you are required to have an independent custodian to hold the investment on your behalf. The Trust has no relationship with any of those companies and they are completely independent of the Trust. As you know your custodian charges you annual fees to hold your investment and likely charges you every time you communicate with them. There is nothing we can do about that. There are many companies which hold these investments on behalf of one or more of you. Listed below are the companies we know about with links to their website.

Any questions, complaints or disputes you have regarding these companies should be addressed to them because we cannot help you. We do not recommend any one company above the other but do want you to know that if you are dissatisfied with your current custodian that you can always make a switch. One of these other companies might be able to help you since they are familiar with the assets. You can also just “cash out” or take a distribution from your IRA account and hold the assets individually but there are taxes and penalties associated with doing so. You will want to consult your accountant or tax professional with respect to that.
